The top and second bottom show the bird in the darker breeding plumage. The other two photographs are of a bird that wintered on the Duddon and show the lighter phase plumage.

I have ringed 115 european bird species, but whose counting. I enjoy all natural history and wanted to be a lumberjack. I ended up a desk bound engineer, some would say on my mother's side
