I originally went to watch the Ospreys at Foulshaw Moss, but they were too far away to keep my attention hence these photographs.

Golden Ringed Dragonfly

Impossible to get all the subject in focus from this angle.
Female because no clasper on the end of the body
The correct angle for the limited depth of field.

Beautiful Demoiselles

Ladies first,but why the drab colour compared to the male ?
This male is not as beautiful in my opinion as the Banded Demoiselle
Doing exactly what the book says , sitting on a leaf mid-stream
